The Raid Pyreneen Cycle Tour is a classic, timed cycle challenge that crosses the length of the Pyrénéens in either direction. There are two official versions, a ‘randonnée’ that takes in 18 cols over 720km that must be completed within a 100hours, and a ‘cyclo-tourists’ version that takes in 28 cols, over 780km, and 10days.

Both routes are absolute monsters and can be described with the same tag as the Col de la Madeleine in the Alps; ‘Heartbreaking but beautiful’. Here are some of the cols included in the route:
Col d’Aubisque.
Col du Tourmalet.
Col d’Aspin.
Col de Peyresourde.
Col de Portet d’Aspet.
Col de Pailheres.

To help you complete this truly epic challenge, Arrivée Travel also run training camps in the spring to Gran Canaria, where you’ll be able to ask questions about diet and training and meet your elite-level guides and support vehicle driver.

Arrivée Travel will be organizing and running the more ‘relaxed’ cyclo-sportive version of the raid, which will give you time to delight in the views and sample the cuisine and culture.

As part of you booking, you will receive a stamp card (The Carnet) from the Cyclo-Club Béarnais in Pau which will need to be stamped at certain locations throughout the route. Your support driver will look after your card whilst you’re riding.
